About this work

Description

Frank Rowntree discusses obesity. He believes this often starts in childhood. Most cases of overweight are due to over-eating, particularly in middle-age. He mentions a report in Which? magazine on exercise belts and blow-up shorts which have been proved to be useless. He then comments about the undesirability of starvation diets. Anyone who wants to lose 3 or 4 lbs should do so under medical supervision (the presenter interjects in surprise at this small amount).
