![CANCER, MALIGNANT DISEASE. There were 32 deaths under'the above heading, [17 males 1.5 females]; 10 deaths [5 males 5 females] occurred in the Urban Districts and 22 [12 males 10 females] in the Rural Districts. Information in regard to districts and age periods is given in Tables I and II. Appendix. Cancer is increasing and it is important that chronic irritation, from whatever source, should be prevented, and med- ical advice obtained early. Operative treatment is only success- ful, if the disease is removed completely in its earliest stage. RESPIRATORY DISEASE. There were 25 deaths [males 15, females 10] from Respiratory Disease, other than Tuberculosis, during the year compared with 24 in 1928, nine deaths (4 males. 5 females)occurred in the Urban and 16 (11 males, 5 females) in the Rural Districts. Particulars are given in Tables I and II. Appendix. There ■were 10 deaths from Bronchitis [3 males, 7 females] and 13 deaths from Pneumonia [10 males, 3 females]. Information in regard to deaths during the five years, 1921 — 25, is given on pages 14 and 45 of my Annual Report for 1925. MENTAL DISEASE. This was referred to on pages 45 and 46, Annual Report for 1925. At the end of December, 1929, there were 74 persons [26 males 48 females] belonging to Radnorshire, in the Mid Wales Mental Hospital, Talgarth, 13 persons [5 males, 13 females] were admitted from Radnorshire during the year.
