This the midwife had miflaken for the funis; in the remifiion of pain I introduced my fingers, and replaced the vagina, but it prolapfed again with the next return of pain, and was re- duced as before. The child was foon after deliver- ed, and I had no farther trouble. This is a difor- der which very feldom occui's ; the prolapfion of the uterus at full time, is generally attributed to an extraordinary width of the pelvis; and that of the vagina to extreme weaknefs.
