    CASE XL MR. How, Merchant, in Haydon-yardy Mi- nories, on the 19th of May laft, was taken very ill of a fever, which affedled his head fo fe- verely as to make him delirious ; he had pains all over him, and all the fymptoms ufual in acute fevers; being corpulent, and of a plethoric habit of body, his cafe was judged dangerous. I was defired to attend him, and adminifter my pow¬ der, which he took every three hours till the next morning, when I vifited him again, and found him much cooler, his delirium gone off, he breath’d eafier, and was apparently better; but in the evening he had fome little wanderings returned. I directed my powder to be given as before; after which he refled well, perfpired freely, and in the morning following his fever was entirely gone off. I continued the powder only every fix hours, his urine was quite broke and digefled, and all his complaints remov’d; but being too forward in going abroad, he caught frefh cold, which threw him ill again, with the return of the fever; but having recourfe to the above remedy, was cured in twenty-four hours, and is now in perfedl health.
