Description

Metaphisica et physica ... Audiente Joanne F[rancisco] Lestre artium magistro. Illustrated by a few rough pen-drawn diagrams and figures. There is an engraved historiated title-page, with centre panel containing the MS. title, an inserted engraved portrait of Pierre Gassendi [1592-1655], published by J. Jollain of Paris, facing fol. 79 of the second section, and another of Democritus Abderita [460-357 B.C.]. This MS. contains notes of lectures given at the Collège Duplessis in Paris and forms the third and fourth parts of the philosophy course. Produced in Paris.

Biographical note
