![tlie same subject. “ De materia medicinal!, et compositione medicamentorum,” Padua 1556, 8vo. “ Formula? aliquot remediorum, libro de internis remediis omissce” was printed as a continuation of Lobel’s Ilistoria Plantarum (Anvers, 1576, fob). “ De Theriaca tractatus” formed a ])art of A’’aleriu3 Cordus’ Dispcnsatorium Pharmacorum, in the edi- tions published at Leydcu in 1627 and 1652, 12mo.; ‘ Tractatus de Succcdaneis’ M-as included in Schwenckfeld’s Tbesaurus Pbarniaceuticus (Basle and Frankfort, 1587 fi^nd 1630). “ Consilia qme- dum Medica” were contributed to a collection of treatises published by Laurent Scholzius in 1598. But it is almost exclusively for the value of bis contributions to Natural History that any distinc- tion attaches to the name of Rondelet in the present day; and these contributions are almost entirely contained in the Avorks on Fishes already ahuded to. Tlicse are entitled, “ De piscibus marinis libri xviii., in quibus vene piscium effigies expressce sunt,” Lyons 1554, and “ Universse aquatilium historice pars altera, cum veris ipsorum originibus,” Lyons 1555. The former of those forms a folio volume of about 600 pages, and is unquestionably the most valuable work that appeared on fishes, not only up to the time of its date, but for a long Avhile afterwards. It is dedicated, in rather eloquent terms, to his patron, Cardinal do Tournon.
