![Useful Hints to the Prescriber, Soluble Salts may be given in solution. Insoluble Salts and Powders, if given in the form of a mixture, should be suspended by the aid of Mucilage or Syrup. Powders or Salts may be given in the pow- der or in pills, the lutter not to exceed 4 or 5 grains and made up with Conf. of Roue, Mucil- ^except where Ironi, Starrh, Extracts, etc. The Sulphate of Quinine or Cinrhonidia may be rendered soluble by the addition of a little Dil. or Arom. Sulphuric Acid. Correctives may be added to disagreeable medicines, to prevent the nauseating proper- ties. viz: Comp. 'Hun. of Cardamom, Tiuct. of (ringer, Peppermint Water, FI. Ext. of Liquorice, Od of Wtnlerffreen, Comp.
