![26 With the presentation of this Report I am relinquishing office as Treasurer and my personal participation in the appeals activities of the Fund. May I take this unique opportunity to thank all those who have supported us so whole-heartedly over the years and made my term of office a successful, deeply satisfying and intensely rewarding experience. I have covered many miles to talk to many hundreds of our helpers and these visits have established an unusual degree of mutual understanding. The Fund is still entirely dependent upon voluntary aid. Each year more and more help will be needed to keep pace with expanding research programmes and steeply rising costs. With this knowledge I am sure that all those who are able to do so will continue to give encouragement; further, that they will strive to intensify their efforts and so persuade others to sustain the important work of one of the world's finest research centres which they have been largely instrumental in creating. A. DICKSON WRIGHT Honorary Treasurer. 27 How You Can Help [1] BY SUBSCRIPTION UNDER DEED OF COVENANT Such help is of great value to the Fund. If you pay Income Tax at its full rate and undertake to subscribe annually for seven years or more the tax is recoverable by the Fund. Thus, from April ist, 1971 a subscription of £1.00 per annum for seven years brings £7.00 to the Fund plus £4.41 tax recovered, a total of £11.41 ; similarly, a subscrip tion of £5.00 for seven years brings £57.12. The actual amount recoverable varies with the rate of Income Tax prevailing but the figures shown indicate how considerably the Fund benefits from subscriptions under Deed of Covenant. [2] BY ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION OR BY DONATION Subscriptions can be made direct to the Fund or by the convenient means of a Banker's Order. Every gift, however large or small, goes directly to the actual cost of cancer research. Many gifts come to the Fund as thank-offerings for health, as expressions of gratitude for healing and in memory of loved ones who have been victims of cancer. [3] BY LEGACY You can remember the IMPERIAL CANCER RESEARCH FUND in your Will knowing that the legacy will support a great work which is of benefit to all mankind.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b18180498_PP_CRI_E_1_20_4_0015.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
