No change in the hospital accommodation for (he area has taken place during the year ; genera] cases are admitted to Park Hospital and the Eccles & Patricroft Hospital, while chronic cases are admitted to Bridgewater Hospital. A large number of cases from the district are also received by the various hospitals in Manchester and Salford. Cases of infectious diseases and puerperal pyrexia are admitted to Ladywell Sanatorium, Salford, and Monsall Hospital, Man- chester, while cases of smallpox are sent to the Florence Nightingale Isolation Hospital, Bury.
