Thus in a Vitriolick Matrix, ic becomes Vitriol ; in an Arfenical, Arfe- nick; a Vegetable Matrix makes it a Plant ; and fo of all rhe reft, But cwo things are here cobe noted, the firft, Thac when we fay that this Spiric is {pecificated in fuch or fnch a Macrixy that we underftand nothing elfe, buc that this Spiric is imbodyed in fuch or fucha Compound, according to the different Idea it hath re- ftanding, it may be extracted again out of this compound, by di- vefting ic by che help of Art, of this grofle body, to give 1 a more fubtil one, and fo bring ie neerer ics univerfal nacure, and chus prepared, ic doth manifeft its own vertues much more emi. pda eet
