DULL, MILD, CALM and DRY. The most noteworthy meteorological feature of the year, though quite un-noticed by the ordinary individual, has been the remarkable prevalence of nortli-westerly winds, which not only surpassed those from any other oetant, but have probably only once been exceeded since the Marsbside Anemograph Station was established in the year 1898. Undoubtedly associated with these conditions has been the scarcity of thunderstorms of any severity, and the smallness of the atmospheric pollution returns month by month.
