    whereby you may draw the fame fine prefcntly. -j$ Howe to clarife honiefo that the t&fle thereof [ball he much altered. pVt a gallon of water blood-warme to a gallon of •*- honie,put in your honie firft,and with a fticke take the depth thereof in the veftell wherein you boile it , and then put halfe an ounce of beaten cloues bound in a linnen cloth therein, and let them boile with the water and honie on a gentle fire till all the water bee confiimed, which you fhallghefleat by the marke on the fticke.Your hony muft be pure and fimple not mingled with woort, fiowre,or other bad competi¬ tion , cuenasit is gathered vpon the breaking vpoi the hiucs.lt is a workeot two or three hours, and the elder the honie is the better it ferueth for this pur- pofe.You muft remember to take away the skum as it rileth.Som boile this honie a little higher to a more confiftencie,and prefcrue fruit therewith in ftead of fugar.
