Sir: In compliance with the resolutions of the House of Representatives of the 26th instant, I have the honor to transmit copies of letters received at the department “upon the subject of the spread and ravages of the small pox among any of the Indian tribes,” and in relation to “existing or threatened hostilities between any of the Indian tribes.” I have the honor to be, Very respectfully.
