GOLD OBJECTS, &c. floral decoration in relief, connected by spirally twisted rods; from Rhodes 2 the neck, decorated with punch work, pellets arranged in three rows round the shoulders of the vessel, below a stellate decoration of deep flutings; Hallstatt period, c. ¢ 900 B.o.; 57n. diam.; found at Argyalfold, near Buda- pesth. ‘The Hallstatt period covers European work of the Iron Age, which is rarely found in gold.
