Letters and papers belonging to relating to the Lindsey family in the early 19th century Includes bookmarks, greetings cards These must have been the property of Esther Lindsey. None of the letters are to or from Esther. Many relate to her brother Robert Lindsey, who was at the Quaker School, at Ackworth, Yorkshire; later he was in America. There are letters to and from Robert and the rest of the family and they are written from America, Australia, Yorkshire and elsewhere in England Patient no. 516, 544, in Retreat 1836 - 1837, 1838 - 1839 (discharged). Age 29 on first admission, Quaker, single, general shopkeeper, from Brighouse, Yorkshire. Religious melancholy. Most date from 1812 - 1820.
