This has meant that much time has had to be devoted to training- these members in the evening's and at week¬ ends-. In connection with this I desire to express my sincere thanks to Mr. P. A. Holt, Deputy Commandant, for his ever willing- services. In conclusion, I think it will be agreed that stead}-^ progress has been made in all sections of the Department and I take this oppor- tunitv of thankinp- mv staff for the extra duties which thev have willingly borne.
