    the right hand being placed upon the solar plexus, or pit of the stomach, and the other resting upon some portion of the spine. The position for the positive, or right hand, in all magnetic treat- ments, is always against the bare skin at the pit of the stomach when possible. This rule must never be interfered with unless it is offensive to the patient. It is true that the Force can be passed through clothing, but to be immediately efficacious, the positive hand of The Healer should rest lightly but firmly upon the flesh of the patient. It is not so important that the left hand be applied to the flesh, but it is always better, when possible, to have the patient's clothing loosened so as to permit both hands to touch the flesh. However, in case the patient is of the oppo- site sex and of such a sensitive nature that the close contact seems indelicate, it is better to avoid this nervous antagonism by working a longer time, with both hands outside the clothing.
