CALenpArto], MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, 77 Flemish, written ina clear gothic hand, 22 lines to the page, 174 U, seven large and fifteen small painted miniatures with borders, historiated initials and very numerous small initials painted in gold and. colours throughout, old vellum, with brass clasp 4to. (188mm. by 130mm.) FLEMISH, Xv CENT. *.* Tn very clean and fresh condition, with the exception of two leaves at beginning and three at end which are discoloured; ample margins. 247 HorarE B.V.M. Ab Usum RoMANUM CUM CALENDARIO, MANU- SCRIPT ON VELLUM, 17 /ines to the page, 133 Ul., written in a clear gothic hand, 16 large painted miniatures and 73 smaller, numerous full borders introducing grotesques, animals, birds and a large variety of flowers on gold or coloured grounds, small miniatures of occupations and signs of the Zodiac with calendar, damp stains affecting miniatures and borders at beginning, and through the last quarter of the book, these have been re-touched and restored, 18th Vent. French red morocco, gilt borders round sides, panelled back 4to. (170 mm. by 120 mm.). (including one blank), eight delicately painted miniatures - 7n colours heightened with gold, seven of these within full borders introducing grotesque birds and animals, very numerous large and small initials and line fillings in gold and colours, top of leaves stained by damp through first ten leaves and last quarter of book, jirst and last few leaves discoloured, foredge of bordered leaves touched by binder, stamped red velvet, silk linings 8vo (152 mm. by 105 mm.) FLEMIsu, XV CENT. 249 Horae B. V. M. ad Usum Romanum, MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, in an upright gothic hand, 16 lines to the page, 78 U., seven large arched miniatures within borders of foliage, flowers, birds, grotesques, etc. painted in gold and colours, other small miniatures and historiated initials to the Memoriae of the Saints, some a different hand, vellum somewhat discoloured at beginning and end, borders shaved, old - calf over wooden boards, rebacked, clasps 1\6mo (82mm. by 55 mm.) FLEMISH, XV CENT. 250 Horae De Cruce, etc, MANUSCRIPT ON VELLUM, neatly written in \ettres batartes, 18 lines to a page, 37 Ul. (including four blanks), four full-page miniatures in gold and colours, rope pattern border to every page, capitalsin gold on red, green or blue, X VIth Cent. panelled morocco, gilt, Lyonnese style, ground semé with fleur-de-lys, g. e. ; 16mo.
