The Health Visitors on the Staff perform splendid service in the way in which they help to provide a good standard of general cleanliness and in habits in the home. Their help in combating infestation of children with head-lice) is invaluable. They have been assisted in this work by the avail- ability of the new preparations containing D.D.T., etc., which have proved very effective, the degree of freedom being noticeably raised. Homes are visited periodically until children attain the age of 5 years and subsequently as found necessary at School] Inspections, and Health Visitors are thus able to carry on the individual work of advising* and assisting parents in respeict of children of all ages.
