    place, but the process of eruption has been so irregular that the grinding surface of the first molar abuts against the anterior side of the crown of the second molar. (Fig. 6.) The crowns of these two molars are firmly fixed together, and scarcely rise above the level of the alveolar border. The pressure of the first molar has caused the roots of the second molar to become sharply bent at their junction with the crown. The third permanent molars have not been formed ; no trace of these teeth could be seen. Apparently the upper lateral incisors were never formed ; their place is taken by Palate, teeth, and zygomatic arches of case of progeria (natural size).
