The Fleshers shall be responsible for the conduct of all persons employed by them, and for whatever damage, other than ordinary wear and tear, may be done to the property of the Slaughter-Houses, by the persons so employed. 10. The Gate-Keeper, under the directions of the City Chamberlain, shall collect the Dues leviable on Cattle brought to be slaughtered, and pay over the same daily to the Cham- berlain, under such system of checks as shall be prescribed from time to time. The Gate-Keeper shall repay the dues on all Live Cattle driven from the Slaughter-Houses. 11. Every Flesher shall, by himself or his Foreman, attend in the Superintendent’s Office on Friday weekly, and enter in a book to be kept therein a note of the number of the different kinds of Cattle slaughtered by him during the preceding week. 12. All Dead Meat shall be removed in Vans or other Carriages, so covered as to conceal the carcases from view; and if drawn by horses, the driver shall not sit on any por- tion of the carcases carried therein.
