![Lord Henry, Prince of Wales, and the Daughter of the Queen of Sweden; also concerning another marriage to be had between the King of the said kingdom and the Daughter of our Lord the King; paid expenses for going and returning 26/. 13,?. 4d. on the 27th June; also another payment of 50/. for the same busi- ness, on the 15th July. To Master John Chandler, clerk, appointed treasurer to Blanch, the King’s eldest daughter, by the King and his council, viz., 215/. 13s. Ad., for 10 cloths of gold and other merchandise, pur- chased of Pichard Whityngdon, a citizen and merchant of London, and 380/. for the preparation and equipment of Blanch’s journey to Colon, to marry the King of the Romans. [Several other pay- ments on this roll respecting the said marriage.] To Bertolf Winder Eme, who fenced with the long sword with the present Lord the King, and was wounded in the neck by the said Lord the King. In money paid to his own hands of the King’s gift 10/. To William Loveday, clerk of the great wardrobe, 1,482/. 8s. 6c/., assigned by the hands of Richard Whityngdon, citizen and mer- chant of London, and 120/. for skins purchased for his office. 7 Henry IV., Pasch., 28 July.—Paid to Richard Whityng- don* citizen of London, 1,000/. for money borrowed by the King. Also other payments to Richard Whityngdon for the like pur- pose. Payment to Edmund, Duke of York, 320/. 6s. 8d. [A long entry, with limitations of descent, evidencing pedigree, &c.] 3 Henry V.—To William Lovenye, appointed by the King to provide for the household of the Dukes of Orleans and Bourbon, and other French lords, the King's prisoners, 26/. 13s. Ad. [Another payment of 66/. 13s.
