![[ *3 ] »• H ' moved, do not very often admit of any other than a temporary Relief from any Medicine, being ufually fuppofed owing to fome general Diforder in the Blood, as the Gout, a confirmed Rheumatifm, or an in¬ veterate Scurvy; but in Cafes lefs compli¬ cated, where the Caufe of the Difeafe is more recent, and where repeated Sweats have either been judged preferable to other Evacuations, or proper to aflift them, the Nightfhade has proved very ferviceable. Scorbutic Eruptions feem to have fome refemblance with the preceding Diforders, efpecially as they may arife from a conftitu- tional Caufe, or may proceed likewife from a Caufe more recent and accidental.
