![[ *7 ] rations of the Medicine, and have before given my Reafons for publishing an Ac¬ count of them, I fhall proceed to give fuch a farther Hiftory of the Effects of the Might- Shade in Cafes fuppofed to be cancerous, as will, I fear, leave no room to hope, that it has any fpecific Property for the Cure of this Difeafe. Amongft thefe Cafes I Shall com¬ prehend fuch Hardnefles and Tumours of the Bread as alarm the Patients, and which Sometimes degenerate into Cancers* though they are often carried through Life, by proper Attention, without any confiderable Inconveniencies. Elizabeth Prynne, a Woman 65 Years of Age, living in Brick-Jlreet, near Picca¬ dilly') was affefted about eight Months ago with a Sorenefs in the back-part of her Throat, unattended with Fever or any other Complaint at that time. The Sorenefs increased, and in three Weeks was fo trou- blefome as to occafion a Difficulty of Swal¬ lowing even Liquids without confiderable Pain.
