![[49] Arms and Legs, and had feveral internal Medicines given her near three Weeks without any confiderable Advantage, when fhe was directed to take the Nightfhade. In twelve Days this Perfo'n was reflored to her natural Senfation, except at the Ends of her Fingers, where fhe felt a flight Numtu nefs; and flhe had a good Motion of her Limbs, tho’ fhe could not exert them with fo much Strength as before her Illnefs. One Grain of the Garden Nightfhade fweat- ed her very plentifully, and increafed the Quantity of her Water, without occafioning any Giddinefs, Head-ach, or the ieaft In¬ convenience. She was taken out of Bed>! and with fome Afliftance walked feveral Yards, but found a Weaknefs in her Limbs, which affefted her equally on both Sides# It was reafonably fuppofed, that the Me¬ dicine had done all it was capable of, by re¬ moving the Obftrudtions which had proba¬ bly been the Caufe of this Lois of Senfatiori and Motion, and a Perfeverance in the Ufe of it might, by the great Inereafe of Per- fpiration, weaken and enervate her more.
