Charter of King Henry III. confirming to the prior and canons of Holy Trinity, London, various privileges and donations.—Dated by the hand of Ralph, Bishop of Chichester, Chancellor, at Westminster, 8 February, in the 11th year of the reign. [a.p. 1227.] Latin. Great Seal appended in a bag of striped silk, probably Sicilian. 19. Writ of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, to his bailiffs of Exeter, ordering them to pay 25/. 12s. 6d. yearly to the canons of Holy Trinity, London, as of old, and according to the charters of several Kings of England.—Dated at Henley, 16 February 1266. Letter from Edward, eldest son of King Henry III. to the Archbishop of York, Roger de Mortimer and Robert Burnell, ordering them to pay the debts which he has con- tracted in Palestine, for which the Masters and Convents of the Hospital and the Temple have become security, so that his honour may be preserved unimpaired ; and to give credence to his messenger, Sir Robert de Ufford.—Dated at Acre, 10 July in the 56th year of his father’s reign.
