King of France, on the 22nd of December 1476, collated with the original by [Florimond] Robertet, registrar of the Order. [a.p. 1527.] French. Illumination on the first page of the Statutes. — ut The illumination represents Louis XI. seated on a throne surrounded by members of the order. Anne de Montmorency, Grand Master of France, was on 15 September 1527 commissioned by Francis I. King of France, to convey to Henry VIII. the insignia of the Order of St. Michael, together with the Statutes thereof, the voluine here exhibited. 65. Ratification by Ferdinand and Elizabeth, King and Queen of Castile, Leon, Aragon, &e. of a treaty concluded in London, on the 10th of July 1499, with Henry VII. King of England, in view of the intended marriage between Arthur Prince of Wales, and the Infanta Catherine, their daughter.— Dated at Seville, 20 January 1500. Latin. Signed :—‘‘ Kyo el Rey”; “ Eyo la Reyna.” Leaden bulla appended. Elizabeth, Queen of Castile, is more generally known by the equivalent name of Isabella. . 66.
