Description

One of a series of chromolithograph trade cards (A5) issued by M.M. Fenner to advertise his Capitol Bitters which was supposed to aid digestion, relieve dullness and flatulence, regulate the bowels, guard against malaria, fever and bowel disorders in summer, colds and inflammation in winter. The illustration shows a scene of a stag, doe and two fawns on the bank of a river flowing through a forest in muted sepia tones.
