All milks supplied to Schools were submitted for examination as “Pasteurised. In 12% of these samples the bacterial count exceeded 100,000, and in 40% b. coh was found. The result of the Phosphatase test was returned in 3% of samples as Group II. and m 3% as Group 111. ORDINARY MILK. Of these samples 11% had been heat-treated and were sub¬ mitted to the Phosphatase test. Of this number 25% were returned as Group 1. Of the remainder 29% failed to pass the Methylene Blue test standard for Accredited milks and 40% had b, coh present.
