![[ 3° ] times a conglobate gland. She does • ^ not recoiled: doing any thing, fhe fays, which could occafion this complaint, except wafhing her hands in cold water. She recovered perfedly in lefs than three months. CASE XII. MARY ASHTON, of Salford, aged 43, was delivered, by Mr. Slack, of her third child, as fhe lay upon her left fide, on the 1 ft of April, 1783. The labour was a preternatural one. On the 12th day after delivery, fhe was feized with a pain in the fmall of the back, on the left fide, which foon extended down to the groin, la- bium pudendi, thigh, leg, and foot of the fame fide, which fwelled to a great fize.
