Nutri- mento igitur copiosiore indigent. Indicium sunt, aetates et athletae. In the winter and the spring, the belly is naturally the hottest, and the sleep the longest; in these seasons therefore more food must be taken. The internal heat being greater, a more copious supply of nutriment is necessarily required. Of this the young and the athletic are proofs. XVI.
