Safad £5/5/- A very defective copy, having the larger portion of the title-page and the first 20 pages torn or eaten away. ‘These being supplied by photographic facsimile in loose sheets. This copy has been interleaved, and, is defective in common with the printed portion, but many interesting contemporary diary entries remain. From the entries it appears that the notes are made by a Farmer, as they include costs of seeds, planting of wheat, Barley, and vegetables, purchase of farming gear, harness for horses, etc. Evans’ American Bibliography cites the Almanac as No. 2708, but gives no location of a copy. The records of copies sold by auction relate to those published in 1741 or 1744, and show only three in all being disposed of, during 1920-23. “* All but the Calculations were compiled and written by Samuel Keimer. Taylor dis- owned the work, and denounced the author of the ‘lying pamphlet’ in a published advertisement.” AMERICAN PHILOSOPHICAL SOCIETY PROCEEDINGS, held at Philadelphia, for Promoting Useful Knowledge, from January, 1869, to April, 1883 (Vols.
