All ])ersons in dispensing medicines shall comply strictly with the instructions contained in the British or some other recognized pharinacopfcia. . 8. Every jierson having the management of a dispensary sliall keep a sjiecial book at such dispensary for copies of prescriptions, and it shall be the duty of every person dispensing medicine according to any ]>re.scription to ])ut a numlicr on such pre.scription and to enter a copy of such pi-escriptioii in the sjxicial Ixwk refer- red to above. 9. It shall lie lawful for any Medical Board appointed under “The Medical Practitionei-s’ (Licensing) Law, 1891,” to hold e.vaminations at such times and places as the High t?ommissioner shall direct for the examination of persons (lesir.)us of being regis- tered as Chemists and Druggists. 10. Every cxaminaDion lield by the Medical Board for Chemists and Druggists shall be such sus sullicitsitly to test the possession hy the eamlidates of the knowdedge and skill refpiisite for carryiug on the business of a Chemist and Druggist. ] 1. No person shall be entitled bo be registered as a Chemi.sb and Druggist unless he is of the age of 21 y.-ars or upwards, and (1). lie is entitled to be regi.stered and is registered in Creat Britain as a (’beinist and Druggist or as a Pharmaaeubical Cliemist ; or (2.) He is bhe lawful holder of a diploma from any recognized pharniaceubical school ; or (8.) He has actually Iwen engaged and employed in dispensing aiid compounding prescriptions iis a chemist or assisUiiit chemist for a jieriod of not less than five years before the :Ust day of December, 1892 ; or (4.) He has been actually engaged and employed for a perigd of not less than three years in dispensing and compounding pre- scriptions as assistant to a chemist in Cyprus, or in the Govern- ment medical stores and chemical laboratory, and has obtained a certificate from the Msdical Board tliat lie j)08ses.ses competent skill and knowledge for carrying on the business of a Chemist and Druggist. 12. Tlierc shall be kept by the Chief Medical Officer a register of all ]K3i-sons entitled to l>e registered under this Law. Such register shall ooutain the following particulars : The name, in full, of each person registered and his residence. The date of Ins regisbrabiou. The nature of his qualilication.
