The owners agreed to put in a chlorinating plant. -^wo samples from wells at Covehithe were examined bacteriologically. One was fit and the other unfit. The latter was not used for drinking purposes. & Eight samples from the Kessingland supply were tested and found satisfactory. The public water supply for the district comes from the Lowestoft water Company's mains which are laid through several parishes on their way to Lowestoft and have been untended to Corton and Carlton Colville. Parts of Belter^ TT-p+or' ^unerleyton are also supplied. I am indebted.to the Manager of the Lowestoft Water Company for the following information on the Bacteriological purity of the water and the number of houses supplied. „ Jan. Feb.
