'I'he district is sulliciently supplied with water, of which .f have not receivtal any eom[»lainls. iiou.so Drainage Diu'ing the year inspections have heen maile throughout the I tistrict as to the general condition of House; Drainage, and upon such inspections have detectetl 4() nuisances arising from various structural defects, tin* particulars of which will lu* found under the heading of House I trainage in tin* statistics given. In many eases no system of ilrainage existed, ami the refu.se was [)oiued dowr. an open clianmd and left to liml its way into the .soil. Other nui.sances found were defective trap.s, stoppage of draims, and in several instances the drains were ill such a dilapidated condition, which nece.ssitati'd their le- construction. For the ahatementof these nuisances the usual notices were .served, and the works lecnmmended hv me .satisfactorily carrit'd out.
