![YOUNG (william), draper and bookseller in London, 1589-1608; near the Great Door of St. Paul’s. In company with Ralph Jackson, William Young published in 1589 An ordei- of catechyshige by Richard Saintbarbe. In 1594 one of his apprentices was bound to Robert Dexter, in order that when his time was expired he might become a freeman of the Stationers’ Company [Arber, ii. 193]. In 1600 William Young was transferred from the Drapers’ to the Stationers’ Company.
