Mifce ; fiat haufius, mane, hora quinta pome- ridiand, 13 hard decubitus fumendus. Adde haufiui no&urno, tintturae thebaiece guttas viginti quinque. i She was much relieved; but the pain returned, though lefs violent, and with very little blood. To the oily draught, which (he took at night, were ,added ten drops more of the thebaic tin&ure. She continued the ufe of thefe medicines; leflening the quantity of. the thebaic tindfcure by degrees; and in fix or feven days was intirely freed from fo ex¬ cruciating a difeale. This difeafe may probably feem to have been - - only internal piles; yet, if it were, an inftance of fo fpeedy a cure of them fhould feem not unworthy to be here mentioned; for (lie continued well, and had no return. But I think the following cafe tends to evince the contrary. It is obfervable, that this patient’s ftoroach bore very large quantities of oil.
