In conclusion, our best thanks are due to Dr. St. Clair Thom- son, who has kindly looked through the proofs of the sections devoted to the nose and ear; to Dr. Silk, who has fulfilled a similar office in reference to the chapter on anaesthetics; to Mr. William Turner for preparing the index; and to Dr. Arthur Griffiths, late of the Bristol General Hospital, who has drawn several of the pictures, and given other valuable assistance.
