Description

A case is due to be heard next week which will examine the role of the HFEA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority). The HFEA was set up in 1991, to monitor and supervise human embryo research. The Pro-Life Alliance is posing a legal challenge to the authority of the HFEA, which they claim was never meant to cover lìve embryo' research. Emily Jackson, Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Law, LSE, and Josephine Quintavalle, Pro-Life Alliance, present the opposing arguments in the case.
