    of bark, elix. vitriol, and port-wine, fevere hecfiic attacks came on. In this Hate of the bufinefs, no plan could be figured for faving the patient, without amputating the uterus. Every endeavour I had ufed, for procuring information, either from medical men or books, left me Hill in the dark ; as in every cafe of inverfion men- tioned, not one was to be found, where the patient had furvived for any time, unlefs the womb was diredly returned.
