By thefe methods an in¬ flammatory tumor of the Scrotum, and of the coats of the Tefticle, as well as of the Tefticle itfelf, may almoft always be, fooner or later, re¬ moved ; at the fame time remembering the ne- cefiity there generally is of keeping your pa¬ tient in bed ; or in keeping him ftill and quiet upon a couch, with his legs and thighs fup- ported ; and even at prefent, and in future, to fufpend the parts in a bag-trufs; and to continue this fufpeniion for a longer or Ihorter time, as occafion fhall be found to require: for in diffe¬ rent habits of body, as well as in different de¬ grees of this and other difeafes, a greater or lefs fpace of time will be required for effedting our intentions, dependant upon a variety of circum- ftances, which feldom can be forefeen.
