No text description is available for this image![EXTRAS TO INDUSTRIOUS PATIENTS, The Female Pauper Patients employed in the Laundry have Meat Diet daily, Pudding four times a week, and 5 oz. of Bread, 1 oz. of Cheese, and 1 pint of Beer extra daily. The Workers on the Farm, Artizans, and Ward Helpers have 5 oz. of Bread, 1 oz. of Cheese, and f of a pint of Beer daily, with the addition to Workers on the Farm and to Artizans of \ a pint of Beer at four o’clock. Tobacco and Snuff are also allowed to the Industrious Patients. Wine, Porter, and Extra Diet are allowed to the Sick, at the discretion of the Medical Superintendent. PRIVATE PATIENTS. WEEKLY ALLOWANCE PER PATIENT. Males—6 lbs. uncooked Meat, 7 lbs. uncooked Vegetables, 7 lbs. of Bread, ] 2 oz, of Cheese, 10|- pints of Beer, 8 oz. of Butter, 2 oz. of Tea, 8 oz. of Sugar, 1-| pints of New Milk, Puddings four times a week, Fish, Poultry and Fruit occasionally, besides extra diet, if required. Attendants—Same allowance, with the addition of 3^ pints of Beer. Females—4^- lbs. uncooked Meat, 7 lbs, uncooked Vegetables, 5|- lbs. of Bread, 12 oz. of Cheese, 7 pints of Beer, 8 oz. of Butter, 2 oz. of Tea (or 1 oz. of Tea and 4 oz. of Coffee), 8 oz. of Sugar, and 1|- pints of New Milk; Pnddings four times a week, and Fish, Poultry, and Fruit occasionally, besides Extra Diet, if required.
