    [ ] The Chairman of the Committee is not afhamed to confefs himfelf guilty of an apparent incivility, by not acknowledging the receipt of Mr. Starke’s letter; which was occafioned by the fervant’s not waiting for an anfwer, and Mr. Starke’s omitting to mention where he lodged; this he trulls will be confidered by Mr. Starke as a fufficient apology for his inattention; efpecially as the contents of his letter could not be anfwered, until it had been laid before the Committee. Mr. Starke is pleafed jocofely to flyle the Chairman the Hierophant, alluding, perhaps, to his profeffion, of which he is not afhamed; but is determined that no profane* intruder fhall, with his confent, interfere in the management of this ufeful and well-conducted inftitution, as long as he continues a member of the Committee: Procul 6, procul efte profani!
