If the Committee did not think that their filence would be condrued into a tacit acknowledgement of their wiflh to give up the caufe of thofe medical gen¬ tlemen, who honour them with their attention, they would think it unnecefiary, in this publication, to fupport a caufe which at drd view they were con¬ vinced was a good one; but as the concerns of me¬ dicine are as conne&ed with thofe who judge by in¬ clination, as thofe who judge by reafon, they are determined thus to defend the right caufe to its m> mofl extent. The words regularly-bred, have been ufed both by the Committee and by Dr. Holman, and they have applied thofe words as being incompatible with the conduct of Dr. Browme; they (till adert, that if Dr. Browne had attended to the inditutions of thofe hof- pitals, which in the coprfe of his education he mufl be fuppofed to have vifited, he mud have known that fuch condu<d was inadmiffible. Mr. Starke has taken up this bufinefs not only againd the phyfician, under whom he' had placed his faithful fervant, but, by a general levelling obferva- tion refpe&ing the mode of obtaining diplomas, againd all the mod celebrated feminaries for education of every kind.
