![For the most part producers and retailers have car¬ ried out the regulations in a satisfactory manner. Un¬ fortunately, one milk retailer was most unsatisfactory both as regards his distribution and the quality of milk supplied. He had received repeated warnings over a period of three years from the Chief Sanitary Inspector on account of dirty milk utensils, and supplying unclean milk. He was asked to appear before the Public Health ( ommittee on three occasions when it was pointed out to him that it might be necessary to take drastic action. In spite of all these warnings matters did not improve and eventually a recommendation went to the Local Authority asking that his name be struck off the register. He appeared before the Council and after his case was care¬ fully considered his name was struck off the register of milk retailers. An appeal was made to the Court of Sum¬ mary Jurisdiction, but the Court upheld the decision of the Counci]. Bacteriological Examination o f Milk. During the year 170 samples of milk were taken and submitted to the Bacteriologist for complete bacteriolo¬ gical examination.
