This edition is also interesting from its dedication by Stmon GryNnaus, Professor of Greek at Basel, to CUTHBERT TUNSTALL, Bishop of Durham. Gryneus visited England two years before the publication of the above edition, and although already a reformer and friend of Luther, was warmly received by Sir Thomas More, and doubtless also by Bp. The translation was made, apparently from the Arabic, by ADELARD [AXTHELHARD] oF Batu.
