    2 December 1969 Prof. René Buvet Faculte des Sciences de Paris Laboratoire d'Energetique Electrochiraique 10, rue Vauquelin Paris V e (France) Dear Professor Buvet Thank you very much for your letter inviting me to attend the International Conference you are planning on the Origin of Life next April. At the moment I am trying as far as possible to decline invitations to meetings owing to the demands on my time caused by the expansion of our laboratory. However, it is possible that I might be able to find time to come to this particular meeting, but I would like to discuss the matter with one of my American colleagues. I hope, under the circumstances, you will allow me a week or so to make up my mind.
