ACETOUS AciD. Take of Verdigris, in coarfe powder, two pounds. Dry it perfe&ly by means of a water-bath faturated with fea-falt; then diftil it in a fand-bath; and afterwards re-diftil the li- quor. | | Its fpecific gravity is to that of diftilled wa- ter as 1,050 to 1,000, REM AR K, Vinegar diftilled from Verdigris has a difagree- able fmell, and turns blue on being faturated with Aq. Ammoniz,—a manifeít proof that it contains copper, (Leenbardi Anmerk in Macquer’s Chem.
