Every per.sou possessing a diploma oi- cei'tificate of admission to pi’actice as a Idiarniaceutical Chemist, granted hy any Pharmaceutical A.s.sociation or College of Pharmacy empowered hy law to grant such diploma or certificate and recognizefl hy the Council, shall he admitted a memlier of The Pharmaceutical Assf)ciation of t.he Province of Manitoha, upon payment of the fees I’equired hy the by-laws of the Associa- tion and producing such diplonui oi' cei'tificate to the Registi'ai’ of the Pharmaceutical Association of the Province of Manitoba, with pi'oof satisfactory to the (x)uncil of the .said Association that he was in good standing »n<l in the actual practice of his [)rofe.ssion u)) to the time of his coming to this Province ; hut in default of such proof he may l)e re([uire(l to pass such examination or examinations as the Council of such As.socia- tion shall rerpiire: Provided, always, that any such i)cr.son who shall have been cai’rying on the husine.ss of a pharmticeutical chemist within the Province f)f Manitoha as now constituted, at least six months pi-ior to the second day of Fel.)ruary in the year of our Lf)i'd one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight. shall he entitled to he admitted a member of such Association without undergoing any examination. 4(i and 47 V. c. lO. .s. 1, pari; 52 v. c. 52, s. 10.
