![As frequent reference will be made in the following memoir to Aubrey’s various works, it is thought desirable to insert a list of them in this place. It is copied from the original in his own hand-writing at the end of the eleventh manuscript mentioned in the list; which, with most of the others, is preserved in the Ashmolean Museum. The list is headed “A Catalogue of Books written by Mr. Aubrey; inserted here by himself, at my request, Nov. 18, 1692. Edw. Lhwyd.” Some of the manuscripts here mentioned are not now extant, viz. those numbered 5. 12. 13. 16. 18. 20. 21. and 22., but of these Nos. 5. 12. and 22. were probably cancelled on the publication of his Miscellanies, which elucidated the matters they seem to have referred to. .
